RICHMOND — State officials abruptly removed 132 sex offenders from Virginia’s list of eligible voters last week, reacting to the latest problem emerging from Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s sweeping move to restore voting rights to felons who had served out their sentences. Full Article

This sure has become a real mess. Perhaps we’ll see some progress in the “civil commitment is actually punishment” area from this fiasco. Something helpful may come from this to bolster challenges to other issues facing sex offenders.

Wow, so they selectively picked sex offenders? Again, more evidence in our favor to abolish the registry altogether.

Selectively applied laws are indicators of the stripping of our constitutional rights and should be met with swift dismantling of the law itself, or removal who are complacent in its unequal enforcement.

A vote is not a gun.

A vote is not a sexual assault.

A vote is a harmless and effective way to show people who served their time that they are once again considered citizens.
